Online therapy for Wayne County residents

Wayne County is where this practice is based and where our clinical roots run deepest. Sessions are virtual across the county.

Our connection to Wayne County

Our clinical director, Maggie Alsalah, LMSW, spent close to a decade working inside Dearborn Public Schools at Edsel Ford High School. That is not a marketing detail — it shapes how we handle teen referrals, how we talk to parents, and how we coordinate with school staff when a family wants that.

The founders live in the county. This is not a practice that selected Wayne County off a map because the population numbers looked good.

Communities we serve

Because sessions are virtual, we see clients anywhere in the county: Detroit, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Livonia, Westland, Taylor, Canton, Redford, Wyandotte, Lincoln Park, Allen Park, Garden City, Inkster, Melvindale, River Rouge, Romulus, Southgate, Trenton, and the smaller communities in between.

Working with schools

When a teen is referred by a counselor or a parent is trying to line up support alongside an existing school plan, we can coordinate with the school when the family asks us to and signs the release. Our experience with that process is specific to Wayne County districts, which is why we say it here and not on every page.

County health data

We do not publish county mental-health statistics on this page yet. Figures like frequent-mental-distress rates and provider-to-population ratios come from sources that update on their own schedules, and the spec this page is built from requires that any number we show carry its full provenance: the value, the underlying data year, the publication date, the retrieval date, the source URL, and the methodology.

We would rather show nothing than show a number with no date on it. One caveat worth stating regardless: a favorable provider-to-population ratio does not establish that any given provider is accepting new clients, is in your network, treats your concern, or can see you soon.

How to start

Fill out the intake form and tell us your plan, what you are dealing with, and when you are generally free. We verify your benefits and match you with a licensed Michigan therapist within 24 hours.

If the match is not right, you can switch in one click. No awkward conversation, and no starting the intake over.

Common questions

Do you take my insurance?
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Ascension SmartHealth. Many in-network clients pay approximately $0–$40 per session, depending on plan benefits, deductible, and eligibility. We verify your benefits before care, so you know your cost before your first session. Private pay is $150 per session. If your plan is not on that list, we are not able to bill it yet — private pay is $150 per session, and we provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement.
Are sessions in person or online?
Both, and neither one is the fallback. The Dearborn office at 3200 Greenfield Road, Suite 300, Dearborn, MI 48120 keeps office hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Appointments are flexible — daytime, evenings, and weekends — in person at the Dearborn office or by secure video across Michigan. For video you must be physically located in Michigan, because your therapist is licensed in Michigan.
Do you have an office in Wayne County?
Yes. In-person sessions are available by appointment at the Dearborn office (3200 Greenfield Road, Suite 300). Virtual sessions remain available across Wayne County and the rest of Michigan. See /therapy-dearborn-mi for the location page.
Can you work with my child's school?
Yes, when you ask us to and sign a release. Our clinical director worked in Dearborn Public Schools for close to a decade, so the coordination process is familiar territory.
