Online therapy for Livonia residents

Virtual sessions with a licensed Michigan therapist, serving northwest Wayne County.

In-network with BCBS Michigan • Priority Health • Aetna • Cigna • Carelon • Ascension SmartHealth

One city, two public districts

Livonia is not served by a single school district, and that trips up more intake conversations than you would expect. Most of the city falls under Livonia Public Schools, but the northeast corner sits in the Clarenceville School District, which also reaches into Farmington Hills. Add the charter and Montessori academies operating in the city and there are six separate school systems with a Livonia address.

The practical effect: when we ask which school your teen attends, we are asking because the answer changes who we would be coordinating with, not to fill in a form field. Two families a mile apart can be dealing with entirely different counseling offices and different referral routes.

Sessions are virtual

You meet your therapist by secure video from anywhere in Michigan. For Livonia specifically, the draw tends to be the schedule rather than the distance — this is a city of long commutes into Detroit and out to the western suburbs, and a session you can take from your own house at 7pm is a session that survives a bad traffic day.

Livonia sits in Wayne County. Our Wayne County page covers how we work with schools across the county and which communities we serve.

Teen therapy in Livonia

Livonia enrolls around 16,300 students, the largest school population of any city on this site outside Detroit, across seven high schools and six school systems. Churchill and Franklin sit in Livonia Public Schools, Clarenceville High School belongs to a separate district that also reaches into Farmington Hills, and Ladywood is private.

That split matters for a teen referral, because the counseling staff, the paperwork and the timeline are different depending on which of those your child attends. We ask for the school by name for that reason. Our first-hand district experience is in Dearborn, so here we follow the school’s process rather than presuming to know it.

Insurance and cost

We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Ascension SmartHealth.

Many in-network clients pay approximately $0–$40 per session, depending on plan benefits, deductible, and eligibility. We verify your benefits before care, so you know your cost before your first session. Private pay is $150 per session.

How to start

Fill out the intake form and tell us your plan, what you are dealing with, and when you are generally free. We verify your benefits and match you with a licensed Michigan therapist within 24 hours.

If the match is not right, you can switch in one click. No awkward conversation, and no starting the intake over.

Common questions

Do you take my insurance?
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Ascension SmartHealth. Many in-network clients pay approximately $0–$40 per session, depending on plan benefits, deductible, and eligibility. We verify your benefits before care, so you know your cost before your first session. Private pay is $150 per session. If your plan is not on that list, we are not able to bill it yet — private pay is $150 per session, and we provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement.
Do you have an office in Livonia?
Not in Livonia. In-person sessions are at the Dearborn office, about twenty minutes southeast; Livonia residents can also meet by secure video. We will not describe that as a Livonia location.
Are sessions in person or online?
Both, and neither one is the fallback. The Dearborn office at 3200 Greenfield Road, Suite 300, Dearborn, MI 48120 keeps office hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Appointments are flexible — daytime, evenings, and weekends — in person at the Dearborn office or by secure video across Michigan. For video you must be physically located in Michigan, because your therapist is licensed in Michigan.
