Virtual therapy for Michigan teens aged 12 to 17, with a practice that has worked inside schools.
In-network with BCBS Michigan • Priority Health • Aetna • Cigna • Carelon • Ascension SmartHealth
Our clinical director, Maggie Alsalah, LMSW, spent close to a decade in Dearborn Public Schools at Edsel Ford High School. That means we have sat on the other side of these referrals — with the counselor, the parent, and the teenager who did not ask to be there.
It shapes something practical: we do not treat a reluctant teen as a problem to be managed. Reluctance at the first session is the normal starting condition, not a bad sign.
You will not get session transcripts. Therapy only works if your teen believes what they say stays in the room, with the standard exceptions for safety. What you can expect is a therapist who tells you what would actually help at home, and who involves you deliberately rather than by default.
Virtual sessions solve a real logistics problem here: no leaving school early, no cross-county drive, and for a lot of teenagers, talking from their own room is easier than sitting in an unfamiliar waiting room.
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Ascension SmartHealth.
Many in-network clients pay approximately $0–$40 per session, depending on plan benefits, deductible, and eligibility. We verify your benefits before care, so you know your cost before your first session. Private pay is $150 per session.
Fill out the intake form and tell us your plan, what you are dealing with, and when you are generally free. We verify your benefits and match you with a licensed Michigan therapist within 24 hours.
If the match is not right, you can switch in one click. No awkward conversation, and no starting the intake over.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room. Online therapy is not emergency care.
