Grow Together Therapy › Online therapy › Oakland County › Royal Oak
Virtual sessions with a licensed Michigan therapist, serving Oakland County.
In-network with BCBS Michigan • Priority Health • Aetna • Cigna • Carelon • Ascension SmartHealth
Royal Oak is mostly served by Royal Oak Schools, but a slice of the city falls inside Birmingham Public Schools — two districts with very different reputations and very different resourcing, inside one city. If you have ever been confused about which district your address belongs to, you are not the only one on your block.
Unlike our Wayne County pages, we are not claiming familiarity with either district. Our clinical director's school experience is in Dearborn. We can coordinate with a Royal Oak or Birmingham counselor once you sign a release, but we will be learning their process rather than already knowing it.
You meet your therapist over secure video from anywhere in Michigan. Royal Oak has more therapists per square mile than almost anywhere else in the state, so the honest reason to consider us is not proximity — it is that our first available appointment is often sooner than a local waitlist, and we verify your benefits before session one rather than after.
Royal Oak is in Oakland County. Our Oakland County page explains what we do and do not claim about serving a county we are not based in.
Royal Oak has six high schools and roughly 7,600 students enrolled, and they do not all belong to the same district. Royal Oak High School sits in Royal Oak Schools, while Wylie E. Groves is a Birmingham Public Schools building — so a Royal Oak teenager may well attend a school run by a district named after a different city.
We are not going to claim we know how either district handles a referral. Our first-hand school experience is in Dearborn and we say so on the pages where it applies. Here we ask which school, and we follow their process once you sign a release.
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Ascension SmartHealth.
Many in-network clients pay approximately $0–$40 per session, depending on plan benefits, deductible, and eligibility. We verify your benefits before care, so you know your cost before your first session. Private pay is $150 per session.
Fill out the intake form and tell us your plan, what you are dealing with, and when you are generally free. We verify your benefits and match you with a licensed Michigan therapist within 24 hours.
If the match is not right, you can switch in one click. No awkward conversation, and no starting the intake over.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room. Online therapy is not emergency care.
