Virtual sessions with a licensed Michigan therapist, available anywhere in Oakland County.
In-network with BCBS Michigan • Priority Health • Aetna • Cigna • Carelon • Ascension SmartHealth
This practice is based in Wayne County, not Oakland. We are saying that first because a page titled with your county name usually implies an office down the road, and there is not one. What Oakland County residents get is the same licensed Michigan clinicians the rest of the state gets, over secure video.
The practical difference between us and a local Oakland County practice is drive time and waitlist, not license. Our clinicians hold Michigan licenses, which is the only geographic requirement that governs whether we can legally see you.
Oakland County is large and administratively split — 52 separate school districts serve it, more than any other county we work in. Because sessions are virtual, the county line and the district line both stop mattering: we see clients in Troy, Rochester Hills, Southfield, Farmington Hills, Novi, Waterford, Bloomfield Hills, Madison Heights, Pontiac, Oak Park, Royal Oak, Ferndale, and the smaller communities between them.
If you live in one of the parts of the county where the nearest practice taking new clients is thirty minutes in the wrong direction at the wrong time of day, that is the specific problem virtual care solves.
On our Wayne County page we describe coordinating with school staff, because our clinical director spent close to a decade inside a Wayne County district and that experience is real. We are not going to reprint that claim here. We can still coordinate with an Oakland County school when you ask us to and sign a release — we just have not built the same familiarity with these districts, and pretending otherwise would be the kind of copy-paste geography this site is built to avoid.
We also do not publish Oakland County mental-health statistics. Any figure we show has to carry its data year, publication date, retrieval date, source URL, and methodology, and we would rather show nothing than a number with no date on it.
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Ascension SmartHealth.
Many in-network clients pay approximately $0–$40 per session, depending on plan benefits, deductible, and eligibility. We verify your benefits before care, so you know your cost before your first session. Private pay is $150 per session.
Fill out the intake form and tell us your plan, what you are dealing with, and when you are generally free. We verify your benefits and match you with a licensed Michigan therapist within 24 hours.
If the match is not right, you can switch in one click. No awkward conversation, and no starting the intake over.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room. Online therapy is not emergency care.
